  • Introduced by Rep. Duke Powell, Rep. Tom Rukavina and Rep. Loren Solberg on January 6, 2005, to prohibit minors under the age of 18 from being employed in any rooms constituting where intoxicating liquors or 3.2 percent malt liquors are served or consumed or in any tasks involving the serving, dispensing, or handling of such liquors that are consumed on the premises except 16 year olds doing dishes, busing plates, or providing musical entertainment (SF187 Companion Bill).

    • Reported by Rep. Tim Wilkin on March 10, 2005, from the Committee on Commerce and Financial Institutions with clarifying amendments prohibing minors from working as hosts too, and the recommendation that the bill pass. The report was adopted.
    • Motion by Rep. Tom Rukavina on March 14, 2005, to add Representative Powell as an author of HF12. The motion passed in the House by voice vote on March 14, 2005.
