2005 Senate Bill 403 (Willmar Regional Treatment Facility Spending)

  • Introduced by Sen. Steve Dille, Sen. Dennis R. Frederickson, Sen. Dean E. Johnson, Sen. Gary W. Kubly and Sen. Dallas C. Sams on January 20, 2005, to spend $7,880,000 from state bonds for the Willmar Area Regional Treatment Center for redevelopment of the campus to fit their "master plan" with regard to health care, mental health, chemical dependency, housing and the like. Certain surplus state land would be given to Kandiyohi County for free for the treatment center. The bill would allow the methamphetamine treatment program in Willmar to be converted to an enterprise activity. An unspecified amount would be spent from the general fund for the operation of a meth treatment program (HF361 Companion Bill).
