1) power hour [by Anonymous Citizen on September 8, 2005]
I personally do not think that this is going to stop any kids from over indulging in alcohol. If they are out at midnight on the day before their birthday, then they are going to drink regardless where they get it from if that is what they want to do. If they have their power hour in a bar, I believe they would be safer than at a party because the majority of bar owners and bartenders would not serve anyone that much alcohol in a one hour time frame. I realize that a kid died during his power hour, but kids die at the WE FEST too, and I don't see a bill being passed that kids can no longer be at the WE FEST. I have seen alot more bad things that go on up there, than I have at a bar where they have sober bartenders monitoring what is going on in the establishment.
